What is Summer Reading Program?

Summer Reading program is a four week program designed to keep kids and adults reading during the summer months when they otherwise might not. Participants read a set amount per week, record it in their reading logs, and then return to the library for prizes, and raffles. Throughout the week we also host fun educational events, crafts, movies and more.

Who can sign up for Summer Reading Program?

We encourage all age groups to join in on Summer Reading fun!

How do I sign up for the Summer Reading Program?

Stop by the library to register for the Summer Reading Program and for any events you would like to attend. 

Do I need to have a Taylorville Public Library card to sign up for Summer Reading Program?

You will need a Taylorville Public Library card to check out books from our library, however, you do not need a library card to participate in the Summer Reading Program. For more information on how to obtain a Resident or Non-Resident library card, please contact the library.
